A new licensing regime will start on April 6, when venues offering striptease will be in the category that was originally created for Soho porn cinemas and peep shows. They will all have to apply for a fresh licence on top of the usual alcohol licence.This is the brainchild of the corrupt former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith who resigned last year after claiming for pornographic films at the taxpayers’ expense.
